Yes, you can order door samples or material samples to help in your selection process. Or call our showroom to schedule an appointment to view our cabinets. 

Yes, you can customize the dimensions and layout of a cabinet, but pricing might be different than what you see online. Every cabinet on our site is built to the size you enter. Add your width, height and depth on the product page and the price updates as you go. We build to the nearest 1/8 inch, so a 47 1/2-inch vanity is no harder than a 48-inch vanity. If you can’t get the size you want online, give us a call or send us an email. We are a custom cabinet shop, so most likely we can do it.

We can accommodate most requests like this without an upcharge. The 24 inches shown is only our standard. You can enter the exterior dimensions on the product page, and in the “Order Summary” at checkout, enter the interior dimension you need. We will take this into account and verify with you before sending anything to production. If you’re fitting around existing plumbing or a countertop that’s staying, call us at (414) 800-4000 and a designer will check the layout with you.

Our cabinet boxes and interior parts are constructed of wood, specifically 3/4" Birch Plywood that is UV coated. Plywood is made from multiple layers of wood and is very strong and durable. We do not use particleboard to construct our cabinet boxes. 

Yes, all our cabinet doors and drawers are soft close. This is standard for all our cabinets. 

Our painted cabinets and doors have two coats of primer and one coat of paint with sanding before every step. We ensure quality and consistency through our advanced finishing system and our controlled curing system – the same type of technology trusted by top-tier cabinet manufacturers around the world.

Our stained cabinets and doors are first stained and sealed and then two coats of clear topcoat with sanding between each coat. Yes we offer unfinished cabinets and floating shelves! When you are customizing your item, choose the material and then select "unfinished".

If you want a custom color or want to match another stained wood in your home, you can send us a sample and we can attempt to color match it.

Please call our showroom to speak with a designer if you are seeking a different door style or finish besides the styles you see on our website. We are a custom cabinet shop and can usually accommodate most requests. We have an on-site painting booth and can finish your cabinets in a variety of paints or stains.

Many of our cabinet doors are available with the option for full glass door, 4-lite glass door and 6-lite glass door. View each door style to see what options are available.

After you place your order, our team prepares drawings of your cabinet. You can review and approve those drawings before anything goes to production, so you can confirm sizes, door style and finish while changes are still easy to make.

We do not sell individual cabinet doors at this time. 

Inset cabinets are a high-end traditional cabinet where you can see the 1-½-inch frame and the doors sit flush with the frame. With frameless cabinets, the face frame is eliminated and just the box remains, so that the doors are attached directly to the inside of the cabinet. We offer cabinet doors in solid wood, Ranger Board MDF, combination wood and MDF, and laminate.

For bathrooms and other humid rooms, we recommend veneer over an MDF core rather than solid wood: MDF is more dimensionally stable and won’t move with changes in humidity. We’ll build solid wood doors and drawer fronts on request, but warpage on solid wood in a bathroom is not covered by our warranty.

We do not sell countertops for orders outside of Wisconsin. We recommend working with a local provider so they can template your cabinets before production.

In Southeastern Wisconsin, we regularly work with Stone Dimensions, K.G. Stevens and Stone Creations, and we’re happy to make an introduction.

If you are a Design Services client in Southeastern Wisconsin, we can provide the countertop install services.

We do not sell sinks or countertops. Our shop is dedicated to cabinetry. For sinks and fixtures we generally recommend Kohler products.

The cabinets we sell at MKE Cabinetry are intended for indoor use only. We do not warranty cabinets installed outdoors or in a garage or room where the temperature or weather conditions are not controlled.

Quick Ship items are built and shipped within 7 business days. All other standard online orders are built in 6–8 weeks, because every piece is made to order. Add 5–10 business days for transit. Your order will be processed once payment is received.

Delivery is free on every online order within the contiguous U.S., and it’s already included in the price shown on each product page (nothing is added at checkout).

We ship from our facility in Butler, WI and choose the best method for your address and order size: local delivery, curbside freight, or parcel carrier. Curbside freight requires an adult present to sign.

The price on each product page includes free delivery anywhere in the contiguous U.S. Nothing is added for shipping at checkout. Larger orders travel by curbside freight, which requires an adult present to sign; smaller items ship by parcel carrier.

Yes! However, in order to provide you with the best service possible, we encourage you to call ahead and make an appointment with one of our designers to ensure you get the level of service you deserve.

You may pick your cabinets at our shop in Butler, Wisconsin. You can come between the hours of 7am - 1pm. Please notify us 1 hour prior to your arrival and bring straps and something to protect your cabinets in transit. MKE Cabinetry will not process any damage claims once the cabinets leave our shop.

You’ll receive an email when your order is confirmed and again when it ships. If you need to change a size, finish or door style, contact us as soon as you can at info@mkecabinetry.com or (414) 800-4000. We can usually accommodate changes up until your cabinets enter production. Once a piece is in production it can no longer be altered. Sample orders ship separately from cabinets, and occasionally wait on a back-ordered sample door; if that happens we’ll tell you the date we expect it.

Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout, which splits your order into scheduled payments.

MKE Cabinetry no longer provides installation. We are focusing on making high quality cabinets and leave the installation to other professionals. We are happy to provide the contact information of local professional installers.

Floating vanities are anchored into wall studs. We recommend stud-mounted metal supports, and your installer will select hardware suited to your wall construction. Your order includes the cabinet and, if you purchase them, the handles. Mounting hardware is NOT included, because the right solution depends on the wall.

We recommend you contact NARI to find a qualified cabinet installer. If you live in the Milwaukee area, we could provide the contact information of professional installers.

Yes, we offer door restrictor clips during the online shopping process. A restrictor clip limits how far the door opens to avoid colliding with a wall, deeper cabinet or object. 

Yes, all of our cabinet orders come with a touch up paint or stain. 

Often we can try to match existing cabinetry. We regularly build new cabinetry to sit alongside an existing kitchen, such as an island, a taller pantry, or a replacement run from a shop that’s no longer in business. Send us photos and, if you can spare one, an existing door, and our designers will tell you how close a match is realistic. We’ll be straight with you about it: matching a style and finish closely is achievable; an exact match to another shop’s door profile and aged finish usually isn’t always possible.

Yes, it’s perfectly safe to place your cabinet order online. We are a reputable cabinet company that has been in business since 2019 with state of the art machinery and finishing systems. MKE Cabinetry has provided thousands of cabinet orders to contractors, designers and homeowners in the Milwaukee and Waukesha areas. 

We do not take cabinet orders over the phone. Either work with a MKE Designer or place your order online through our website.

You can pay for cabinets with a credit card, bank transfer or check. Shop Pay Installments is also available at checkout if you’d prefer to split the cost into scheduled payments. Your order will be processed once payment is received.

Yes, there is sales tax on your order depending on where you live and your tax status. Look up your sales tax rate here: Sales Tax Calculator. If you are tax exempt, please send us your certificate and we will remove the tax from your order.

Yes, we offer free estimates for your cabinet order. First you will speak with a designer to get information about the project scope. Then, you’ll get an estimate with three pricing options to help you choose the right level for your project. After you sign a design agreement, we will measure your space, create 3D renderings, finalize selections and confirm the pricing.

If you live in the Milwaukee area we will come to your home. If you are outside of our service area, we will work with you to properly measure your space.

Our products are custom and we do not offer returns once you place your order. Please refer to our Return Policy for details. 

MKE Cabinetry offers the original purchaser a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our cabinetry installed in their home or a non-repetitive commercial application against any defects in material and workmanship.
