Hickory

Hickory is an extremely durable, dense wood with a contrasting grain pattern and natural, rustic appeal. It’s heavy but its resilience makes it ideal for high-traffic areas. Suited for those who like a bold grain and a unique finish.

Cabinet Painting & Finishing

At MKE Cabinetry, we take pride in delivering beautifully finished custom cabinets with a high-end, durable finish. We ensure quality and consistency through our advanced finishing system and our controlled curing system – the same type of technology trusted by top-tier cabinet manufacturers around the world.

Before we paint, each cabinet component is carefully sanded and cleaned to ensure a smooth surface. This helps the paint or finish adhere perfectly and eliminates imperfections.

Once prepped, the components are moved through our finishing line. As your cabinet parts pass through the machine, robotic sprayers apply an even coat of paint or finish. These sprayers are computer-controlled for accuracy and consistency. This process ensures every piece is coated to perfection.

Right after spraying, the parts move through our controlled curing system. This speeds up the drying process and bakes in durability.

Every piece is then carefully inspected for quality. If anything doesn’t meet our standards, it’s reworked before being shipped out.

Painted items have two coats of primer and one coat of paint with sanding before every step. Stained items are first stained and sealed and then two coats of clear topcoat with sanding between each coat.
